Barnet Knights, North London's premier junior chess club, is the perfect club to develop your game.
Club organiser, Laurie Winston, is an experienced school teacher and has run many junior chess events and teams. The coaching programme is organised and supervised by International Master Malcolm Pein.We meet at Moss Hall Junior School, Nether Street, West Finchley, N3 1NR (Click here for a map) from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Mondays during school term.
On most evenings, children have a 30 minute coaching session in one of three ability groups followed by a recorded game. Where possible the game is analysed by one of the chess teachers or a stronger player at the club. The club also has its own grading scheme so members can see their progress term by term.Members range in age from 5 to 14 and include players of all abilities, from absolute beginners to accomplished champions.
The cost is just £5 per visit for members or non-members.
